I formerly blogged at Never Too Hot to Stitch!, where I maintained a blog for nine years. If you’re a follower of that site, welcome to my new blog home. If you’re a new follower, welcome. Come in, sit down, make yourself at home home.
I am an Australian knitter who took up patchwork and quilting in 2011. Since then, it has become my #1 hobby. Most of the things I make, whether quilted or knitted, are donated to charity.
I belong to a small quilting group called Caring Hearts Community Quilters, most of the quilts we make are shown at our annual “Airing of the Quilts” in April then donated to the palliative care and neo-natal units of local hospitals. We also support people in times of disaster, such as the horrific bushfires of 2013.
I also belong to the Knitters’ Guild of NSW (Inc) where I tutor occasional workshops.
I am married to a Wonderful Man (WM). WE have one child (DD), who is married and has two sons, born 2010 and 2011. At the moment I am full-time care for my mother who has dementia but is physically doing well. We live on the outskirts of Sydney, NSW, right on the edge of the Australian bush, a small snapshot of which can be seen in my blog header.
I try to respond to all comments left on my blog, so please, don’t be a no-reply blogger! Join the conversation; who knows what we might discover. If need be, you can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you will visit again soon.
May your stitches bring you much joy.
