- When facing a piece of scrap fabric smaller than a fat eighth, squares are cut, starting with 5″. The remaining fabric is cut into strings or crumbs.
- Triangles generally come from left over pieces of projects, or from pieces cut off from works in progress.
- Crumbs are any piece of fabric smaller than 2″ but larger than 1″. Anything smaller than that goes in the bin!
